True Trouble

Is Life in trouble?
Does Life
have regrets?
Can Life no longer
get out?

And if in trouble
would Life even
cognize: Hey!
I am in trouble

For let’s not beat
around the bush
Life, as we know it
is suffering

The Buddha
said as much
and he was
not kidding
He meant all
three words

(samsara)

Did we shut the lid
too, too tight?
And why, why, why
throw away
the key?

I think Life
in its
overexuberant
selfbondage
went too far

(too, too far)

And that is why
it is so very hard
to launch
successful
escapes
