I looked over your essay "A Reckoning" and I don't quite see what it has to do with Scene as an element of fiction.

That said, I feel obliged to mention that you always end your comments to my stories with a referral to your own. To be honest, I find that a little off-putting, and others might, too, so I would scale back on that a bit, and only do so when there is a definite and surprising connection and/or parallel between the two stories. Otherwise it comes across as own-drum beating which I don't think is all that cool.

You ARE an excellent writer, and I really like your take on things. I even subscribe to your new stories alerts via email.

Here's a question, too. Your site https://www.eclecticessays.com/ is really great; not only eclectic but very aesthetic as well. Did you design that yourself, or did you have it done professionally. I'm truly impressed.
