I question if there is such a thing as "objective" facts/perceptions. Everything perceived is colored by the internal weather systems that often rule us.

Once bitten by a snake will see any piece of rope in the dark as a snake. An unbitten sailor will pick up the rope and say, just what I was looking for -- Same "objective" stimuli.
